Folks, I'm having trouble translating a few lines of the piece I'm currently working on. I've done the homework, but some of the words are either not in the dictionary or don't make sense in context. Can you help please? I'd appreciate it very much!
The poetry is by August Stramm, from the song cycle DU, by Milton Babbitt. (Yeah, the music's pretty hard, too!)
Here are the lines I'm having trouble with (you'll notice, of course, I've spelled out the umlauts):
"Den Raum umwirbt die Zeit"
"Dein Gehen laechelt in mich ueber und reisst das Herz"
"Das Nicken hakt und spannt"
"Nacht grant Glas die Zeiten stehn"
"Fluestern plaetschert Blueten gehren Duefte spritzen Schauer stuerzen Winde schnellen prellen schwellen Tuecher reissen Fallen schrickt in tiefe Nacht."
THANK YOU, VIELEN DANK for any help you can give me!
