Kylie and Listers :-)
A great set of cadenzas are in the three volume series of Variazioni-Cadenze Traditioni by Luigi Ricci. Even if these cadenzas are the same tired ones that you've heard before, they were pretty traditional pre-Liebling, and might give you some good ideas of what was traditionally done before you try crafting some for yourself. The books are small, published by Ricordi, and are still in print.
Another lister mentioned a bevy of books--Neumann's work being one of them. He has some great ideas, but seems a bit over-the-top towards militancy with his ideas. I'd suggest you read several sources to get some perspective, and then decide what you prefer to do.
BTW--some of our Listers don't have internet access--or are charged by the minute/message, and it's not fruitful for them to search the net. :-)
hope this helps! Christine Amos
