Subject:  My first two reviews!

Hi everyone,
I've been doing a production of "Master Class" this summer and just got my first two reviews that actually mention my name and go into depth.

The reviews are from two local newspapers here in Appleton, Wisconsin:

Post Crescent says...
The final student is Sharon, brought fully to life by Lisa Stachowicz.  Stachowicz is the icing on the delectable cake.  Her sound is free and lovely, obviously well-trained.  Although she broadens just a bit at the top of the two cadenzas, her overall performance is nearly flawless.  She has given Sharon a warm personality, pulling the audience in, setting up the final moments of the play with intelligence.

And, the Fox Cities Newspapers say...
Lisa Stachowicz, with her absolutely gorgeous second soprano voice, shows us how hurt feelings can be concealed just so long until the truth must be unleashed.

It's very exciting to finally be mentioned in a review!  And, the aria "Vieni, t'affretta" from Macbeth is easily the hardest aria I've ever done.  Knowing I can do this has helped to solidify my decision to switch fachs from mezzo to soprano even more.

Have a wonderful day everyone!  And thanks for sharing in my good news!
