I have found that different people find different things challenging. For
example, I have a friend who sings amazing coloratura like it's no problem
at all, and for her it isn't. For me, the same arias would be extremely
challenging (at least to make them sound as good as she does :o). I think
you have to find out for yourself what is easy and what is difficult for
your voice and your skill level. There are certain technical things I used
to find very challenging that are relatively simple now, so I'm finding new
challenges I wouldn't have even thought of attempting before because I would
have labelled them as impossible.

As for your last question above, it could be any of those depending on the
circumstances. There are some songs I find not too difficult, except for one
little phrase, or a word that's hard to pronounce correctly. There are other
songs where I struggle with everything (poetry, diction, getting a good
sound on every note, phrasing, breathing, .... I try not to work on too many
of these songs at a time). It's all relative. And what I struggle with may
be easy for someone else, because my voice is unique, and so is yours :o).
