Subject:  Exciting news!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share with everyone my exciting news!  I have decided, at my advanced age of 35 (gasp!) that I must get out of Appleton, Wisconsin and get an advanced degree to help me toward my goal of becoming a professional singer.  So, I auditioned for schools this spring.

I have decided to attend Indiana University School of Music starting in the fall - and I can't be more excited.  I absolutely fell in love with the campus and the feeling of intimacy in this large school.

So, that means my summer will go a little like this...  Visit Bloomington a couple times to stake out apartments and work, take a couple lessons with voice teachers to figure out who I would work well with, find a job in Bloomington, IN for Brian (my fiancé), rehearse for Master Class (starting in June), Get married (July 2), do the show (ending in August), in the middle of doing the show - move to Bloomington.  It'll be a challenge - but I'm sure it will be worth it!

Does anyone have any profound (or not so profound) words of wisdom or advice for an aged returning student?

Have a wonderful day!
