Well, speaking as one with a horrible cold right now...

Garlic and Horseradish are supposed to help open the sinus areas that
are most effected by hayfever AND colds. I don't exactly know why.
The thing is you can't just take them when hayfever starts. I
normally start taking them about end of July for September, and I have
noticed my allergies have cut down rather a lot (when I remember)
