I hate to disagree with you, but whether or not the text is just a foolish girl's overdramatization or a serious cry of suicide, it is inappropriate for a wedding where 2 people are committing to each other. I believe wedding music should have some reference to the lifelong commitment being made, whether in a sacred or secular setting. I did a wedding where the music was pre-selected and I had to sing, "One hand one heart", "When I fall in love" and "Unforgettable." AND it was a wedding held in a church setting. I didn't have too much trouble with the first two because at least they referred to be together forever. However, "Unforgettable" made me feel like a dork on many levels, not the least of which is that it felt like a cheesy lounge song. It should have been saved for the reception.
