Hi, Peggy & Listers:
MB came off as "Queen For A Day" to my telephone coterie, I'm afraid, and I know
he didn't want to come off that way, but he just couldn't help it, poor guy!
He could be straight as an arrow. We all remember well that Oscar Wilde had a
wife and two children and I know a dozen gay men who have wives and children.
There just seemed to be alot of flaming going on in that production. I don't
recall Preston flaming in either Music Man or for that matter in Vic, Vic.
Portraying a gay man certainly doesn't make a person gay. Liam Nisom (I NEVER
can spell his name!) portrayed Oscar Wilde awhile back. There wouldn't have
been even a scintilla of a swish in HIS Harold Hill! :) !!
"No - I didn't mean to imply that. Broderick I don't believe is gay (he's
married to Sarah Jessica Parker of Sex and the City, and they just had a child),
and I don't think he reads as gay - just very mild-mannered, almost nerdish."
Come to think of it I don't recall MB flaming in "Glory!"...
Ed
