Anyone watch The Music Man this past Sunday?
Related perhaps to the thread of "classical music dead?" - well it's
not classical music, but a far cry from much of today's "pop"
music...and it was recently filmed and shown on national television.
I saw parts of it and thought Kristin Chenowith was a very good as
Marion the librarian. I would consider her an example of someone
who, while not an opera singer, certainly has a trained voice and has
some versatility in how she applies her singing talents.
