I 'hate' Emerson, Lake and Palmer but sometimes I put it on for a total change of pace. Same with Crosby, Stills and Nash, whom I rather dislike but it serves its purpose occasionally. During the late sixties a band called "Clear Light" asked me to manage them. It was just another Rock band and I don't listen nor like Rock. But the challenge was made and I grabbed it. So I spiced it up by adding a second set of drums, something unheard of in that day. It was the hook that they needed to get noticed, and noticed they were; and copied in spades. Now double drums is still in vogue for those who can pull it off. So 'Clear Light' died but the concept didn't.
I also listen to marches (which I grew up with) for a change of pace but mostly I like (love) classical choral and inspirational music, choral and instrumental and some symphonies. I (confession here) don't like the Masters but I like contemporary classical.
