Hello to everyone.I am a 27 years old tenor -baritone.I am taking
vocal lessons for 5 months.
I can say that during these 5 months,i have learnt to use my chest
range very decently.However,me and my teacher have a problem when
i try to access a higher register.My teacher has taught me how to
properly close my cords(through swallowing exercises etc).However,
when i try producing sound after having closed my cords,i feel air
escaping trough the upper left part of my heard.It feels
like a ballon that losses air from a very little hole.As a result my
tone is breathy and false and i also don't have a connected voice.I
was wondering if you
could tell me what might be wrong and maybe suggest me some things i
can do to overcome that problem.
