Cindy,
Thank you very much for your suggestions. These selections interest my I wish to pursue them further. Do you have a website for the Sowerby Foundation? Also can you suggests some titles by Emma Lou Diemer? It would be easier for me to locate them through the library.
Thank you for your help.
Bill

Leo Sowerby set several songs for bass voice and organ. They are published by the Sowerby foundation. Sowerby is tough to learn and sing because of his "stream of consciousness" tonality shifts. I've done some of his songs (at the behest of an organist) and your organist may be raring to do some also. Look into the works of Emma Lou Diemer. She has written songs for voice and organ.
Please let us know what your program is. Cindy Donnell

I singing a recital in the Fall. The program is music for voice and organ. There is no piano at all. The first half will be solo organ music and I will sing on the second half.
I am looking for suggestions about repertoire for the concert. I am an accomplished Baritone who has sung in many churches. I would appreciate any suggestions that you could give me.
