Subject:  RE: [vocalist] Breathing

Often singers run out of breath while singing because their tone is not focused
enough -- i.e., the vocal cords are letting too much air pass through. This can
often be improved by vocalizing a lot on the [ae] sound, as in "fat cat."
Quacking like a duck can also help. Hard to describe in writing -- better in
demonstration! :-)
