Thanks! We're very excited, which is kind of a surprise to both of us
because we've been together 10 years. I'm having two students sing, both HS
age. A soprano who will either sing Deh vieni or Widmung (I'm leaning
toward the latter) and a tenor doing the Handel, and the two of them singing
the very sappy "Prayer" which I'm having done because both of them love it
so much, our families will like it, and [looking sideways in an embarrassed
manner] I like it too (although not sung by Dion/Bocelli - I became familiar
with it when I had to sing it in a wedding).
It'll be 6/21 - the day the Harry Potter book is released and the summer
solstice. We were going to have it at our house but became concerned with
weather and space issues, and I asked a friend at the university about a
place she'd used for her mother's birthday party, a beautiful Victorian home
turned campus conference center. She's sponsoring us to use it and we're
