This sounds like the symptoms that I have, and I have
post-nasal drip. I also find myself clearing my
throat a lot, and I have to drink a lot of water
before I sing. My sister also has this problem. I
would recommend her going into a doctor and seeing if
this is the problem, and they could remedy that with
pills that she could start taking.
I don't think post-nasal drip is harmful to a person's
singing, but if it is a bothersome habit, then I would
recommend seeing a doctor.
