I believe she also attempted Mimi in La Boheme--which I think was the end of
her forays into classical singing. I heard her interviewed at the time of
Pirates and she said that this music requires you to sing "on tip toes"--a
sensation that she was not comfortable with.
Kinda makes me think that she wasn't getting the best advice or
training....which is a shame, because I think that she really does have
legitimate interpretive gifts.
