I feel properly chastised by someone who said we shouldn't post with
our introducing ourselves. I can't recall having done so. My name is
Katherine Posner. I live in the San Fancisco Bay area. I am a Baby
Boomer and, hence, an "older singer" as they term us over at NFCS.
I still perform some, but mostly teach. I am former national winner
of Met Auditions, sang with a couple of major companies and a number
of lessor ones, taught at four universities (Duke, UNC-Chapel Hill)
and am now on my own in a private studio (which I like best). I was a
long time student of Cornelius Reid, which situates me for the
pedagogues here. I hope I can be useful to someone, and certainly
always look to learn.
