There is more you can explore. J. S. Bach included a multitude of
theological concepts and references into his music. This is often
ignored in the secular performances of his works but it is possible
to discover what he attempted to include with some research within
Lutheran church sources. Helmut Rilling, of the Oregon Bach Festival
is a good resource of this kind of information.
