Are you referring to Kelly Clarkson, who won the "American Idol" dog and pony
show?

Also, I don't see you as a curmudgeon at all--even though, as I am somewhat
hard of hearing, I appreciate amplification at times, but you make solid and
truthful statements regarding the lack of artistry in many of today's
overpaid "artists."

I fight this war on an almost daily basis with my musically illiterate
husband, who by the way, adores Kelly Clarkson and wants our vocally talented
daughters to sound just like her.

I have a lot of stomachaches........
