Dear Lloyd,

About a year ago we talked about if we thought operatic countertenors
were using falsetto or head voice. Your impression was that men like
Russell Oberlin were using head, while Alfred Deller sounded to you
like a falsettist.

You wisely gave the disclaimer that laryngeal mechanics and sound
don't necessarily go hand in hand ;-)

With the recent countertenor boom, I'm guessing you've heard quite a
few more now... I was wondering if you had any further insights on
this topic. What do you think the current crop of countertenors are
using?

Tako
