To John Cheshire:
Thanks for your mail.
I used to have terrible allergic rhinitis for many years - even before I
launched my professional singing and speaking career. I was under the care of
one of the best ENT specialists in my country who did not only prescribe the
best anti-histamines but boldly experimented on the use of natural ntritional
supplements like Vitamin C 500 mg. with rose hips and bioflavonoids. All these
are good but there is a lot more that one has to do to beat allergic rhinitis.
First of all, one ought to be able to identify one's allergens and avoid them.
Then there is the need to check on some aggravating factors such as strong draft
- natural or air-con , allergenic foods and mucous formers, the body's
adjustment to environmental temperature and protect the body against all these.
Nutritional supplements in the right mega doses are a must, too.
On my own I found out that one's immunity to allergens and respiratory
illnesses, in general, increases in proportion to spiritual growth. You will
notice that gossipers and people who malign others as well as those who
habitually curse or say bad words represent a big percentage of people with
chronic hoarseness, cough and allergies. If not, then there must be some other
form of negativity in them. Getting rid of these will definitely bring LASTING
relief.
I live in the center of a commercial district and my windows are always open but
I hardly experience any of my allergic attacks -- with NO MEDICATION at all.
Love to all,
Ms. G

Like many others, I suffer perrennial allergic rhinitis. I prefer not to
take any drugs. The best relief I have ever found is from steam inhalation
with a device named Virotherm.

The Virotherm is used to inhale pure water vapour ( ordinary drinking water,
no added herbs or drugs ) for 30 minutes each session.
The water vapour is constantly regulated at 43 degrees celcius. The
experience is gentle and comfortable and offers a great feeling of
relief in the upper and rear nasal passages. The Virotherm is designed
so that one can watch TV, read a book or use a computer during the
session.

I bought my Virotherm 5 years ago. Sadly, it has been broken for a couple
of years and the manufacture had ceased supply. I recently found that the
product is again on sale in Italy.

I am pleased to now have a new Virotherm. I have tried other
methods for inhaling steam, but I felt nothing that compares to the Virotherm.
I use it 30 minutes daily.

Shipped from Italy, the device works on 220V mains supply and is fitted
with Italian style 2-pin plug. The plug can be replaced with UK style plug and
work directly on UK mains voltage. It would need a mains voltage adapter
to work in the USA.
