my feeling is that alexander technique, like other methods designed to
make better use of the body, is good for the body and not such a big help for
singing. i have known some people who really took very good care of their
bodies and used them beautifully, who couldn't sing to save their lives
while, some of the best singers i have ever known were big slobs who could
barely lift themselves off the couch. i do believe that when a singer's
technique is good, the better that singer treats their body, the easier it
will be for them to sing.
