Is everyone on holiday? Is that why it's so quiet around here? I
was hoping to get back to hundreds of messages ....

An update to my masterclasses with Richard Miller - they were really
good but with over 20 students, we only had two hours each with him
during two weeks which, personally, I didn't find enough because I
have to much to learn and so much to work on. My biggest problem
is "lack of vibrancy" - in fact, he said I sometimes sounded like a
foghorn :-( So, if anyone is out there I'd love tips on how I can
improve the vibrancy. I have a few exercises but need more. Is it a
support problem? Is it tension? Why do I have this problem?

Otherwise, I heard "no word from Tom," from Stravinsky's Rake's
Progress while I was in Salzburg and it is currently my No1 favourite
piece. It is truly amazing!!!!! Maybe one day (10 years of lessons
and overcoming my foghorn impressions) I will sing it!!!!!
