I think that would depend on the Mozart aria. "Parto, parto" from LA
CLEMENZA DI TITO - self-teaching would take a lot of doing. "Voi che
sapete" from LE NOZZE DI FIGARO - well, I learned that one by ear when I
was a kid, before I could sightread.
