"You Made Me Love You" was a late-1920s hit for Al Jolson. The "Dear Mr. Gable" verse was written especially for Judy Garland, and I believe she sang it in one of the "Broadway Melody of 193X" musicals. (I'll have to check http://www.imdb.com to be sure.)
