Deanna asked if "Regional Governor" was a NATS office, and wanted to know how to behave in an observed lesson. Regional Governors are elected individuals who coordinate events for their region, handle much of the paperwork, and serve as a liaison with chapter presidents, other governors and the Executive Office. They tend to be really dedicated voice teachers and NATS members, which is probably why your area governor offered to come observe your teaching--no doubt to help you obtain one of the letters of recommendation for your membership application. They're not required to do that, so focus on the thought that you're dealing with someone who's motivated to have you join NATS.:-)
As for how to behave or teach, do what you'd normally do in a teaching situation--be yourself, focus on the student(s) and teach. Make sure your singer knows ahead of time (and is comfortable with the fact) that they'll have a guest in the lesson, and that while the guest's focus will primarily be on you, the singer should act the same way they would in any other lesson. If your observer will be present for an amount of time that doesn't match your usual lesson span, adjust accordingly.
Have fun, and try not to stress about it.:-)
