You are the artist. You are ultimately the only one who knows whether you can
achieve what you need to achieve to be prepared for the recital. Rather than
ruminate for days and waste emotional energy and time, sit down and make a
schedule for yourself (much like a production manager would) and see if it is
viable for you to get this endeavor up and running by the deadline.
If it is viable, given your schedule and the new technical issue you have run
into with her high notes, then decide to do it and do it for all it is worth,
without looking back and/or worrying and complaining. If you decide it is not
doable, make that decision and put it behind you, ready to move on to the
next project at hand. It is actually very clear cut and simple; you just need
to sit down and clarify. It will set you free.
