Hello List,
I have really enjoyed reading the conversations that have been taking place, and now, based upon my own vocal experiences and ambitions, have a question for the group:
When hearing someone sing, what are the tell tale signs of improper technique ( i.e. Grabbing from the throat, etc )?
I ask this, because I am having to undo years bad technique myself and since I aim to teach voice in maybe 10 or 15 years, I would like to be able to identify the problems in potential students.
The replies I get from this will go into a notebook, so thanks in advance to all who can help me with this.
Sincerely, Katherine Dickerson
