I don't know your voice type.

However, the better known the work the better. And short is
good. Classical music that has been used in movies is
always a good bet, because people have familiarity with it.
So if you're a soprano, "O mio babbino caro" is a good
choice. If you're a mezzo, the Habanera from Carmen is
good. A tenor, La donna e mobile or Nessun dorma. A
baritone, the Toreador's song. And so forth.

Peggy,

If a tenor can perform nessun dorma properly, then I'm sure they'll be busy
applying
for opera roles, and not bothering about 'wowing' non-classical fans!!
If you are a tenor, and want to perform a modest tenor aria that is still
impressive to non-classical
listeners- basically anything with a sustained high note will do it. It's
more about the singer than the song.
And, to dolphin aura, Why do you want to wow non-classical singers with an
aria? If you're not an experienced opera singer (in which case you'd know
which aria to do) I wouldn't recommend trying to 'wow' anyone. You might
just embarrass yourself.
But having said that, you might be a natural who can pull it off.
