It sounds like you have either swollen cords still or stubborn mucus that has accumulated on them. In either case, I, personally, have never found a way to quickly and synthetically rid myself of these things. Time is the only healer. The one thing NOT to do is to force sing your way through it or cough and cough in an attempt to clear the mucus. I sometimes can get short, very temporary relief by steaming and drinking hot water with a lot of lemon and honey in it. The lemon will cut through the mucus and for twenty minutes or so, you will have your voice back. (If it is, indeed, just mucus accumulation and not swelling.) TinaO
