Subject:  Dancers and breathing

It's been my experience that dancers are taught not to expand the
abdominal area when breathing, hence her trouble with lower body
expansion. Have her try to direct her breath into her lower back - she
won't expand the abs as much, but the shoulders will stay relaxed.
