Maintaining a consistent, constant stream of breath as I phonate. Maintaining only the level of compression actually needed to produce a good sound (not "muscling" the compression). Stopping and starting the breath flow by stopping and starting the breath flow, not by closing the mouth, tightening the abdomen, etc.
