I have to agree. I studied broadway style at 14 and really regret going that
route. I would stick with proper classical training and to develope a
technique which will last and transition over to broadway. NEVER BELT! I use
to be a belter when I was with my first teacher and that is a huge no no!

At 12, I can't imagine anyone could know if she's a natural mezzo or
soprano.
