I forgot duets:
Don't discount "Sull'aria" from LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, with the mezzo on the Countess' line (the tessitura of which is absolutely spot on for a mezzo, as the countess sings the lower of the two lines, with Susanna on the upper).
There are also several duet possibilities in Pergolesi's beautiful STABAT MATER.
And there's the Soprano I/Soprano II duet, "Christe eleison", from Bach's MASS IN B MINOR.
Or, for something slightly more unusual, "Spring Song" from Britten's A CEREMONY OF CAROLS (and your daughter may also want to learn "That younge child" from the same work).
There's also a lovely duet for soprano and alto in Gluck's ORFEO ED EURIDICE, "Vieni appaga il tuo consorto".
And of course, the Hansel/Gretel Evening Hymn duet from Humperdinck's HANSEL UND GRETEL.
Beethoven also did a lovely duet arrangement of the Welsh folk-song "The Dream" (WoO 155 #14).
And there's Faure's "Pleurs d'or" op. 72.
From Handel's SOSARME, "Per le porte".
From Handel's BERENICE, "Le dirai".
From Handel's GIULIO CESARE, "Caro, Bella" and "Son nato a lagrimar"
From Handel's RINALDO, "Scherzano sul tuo volto" and "Fermati! No, crudel!"
From Rossini's TANCREDI, "Lasciami! non t'ascalto"
There is also a book available of 10 Purcell duets, including "Sound the trumpet" from COME YE SONS OF ART. Also by Purcell, "Fear no danger" from DIDO AND AENEAS (for Belinda and Second Woman).
