Christine,
So cool!! Congrats on this great honor!
Carol Webber was (is) my teacher - I studied with her while doing my doctorate at Eastman and still consider her my mentor. I havn't been able to get a lesson with her in 3-4 years, but she is present in every lesson I teach. She is absolutely amazing. (I still see her and make a point to sit in on her studio class when I'm back in Rochester over Spring Break.)
Shirlee is also wonderful, though she has a very different approach. She is one of the "Exemplary voice teachers" I've interviewed who is included in my in-progress book "Prominent American Voice Teachers Discuss Teaching Singing" (working title - I'm still not satisfied with it - we'll see>)
Again, Super congrats!!
PS - Ithaca is a very pretty and neat-o-keen town
