Hi Elly,
Out of curiosity, how old are you? The reason I ask is this: If you're
only 20, or just a very few years past the age when you could hit all
those notes with east, perhaps it's an issue of technique and not an
actual voice change.

However, as we get older, our voices do change and mature. For
instance, when I was in my mid- to late-teens, I could hit stratospheric
notes with great ease. Now, in my early 30s, I strugle for a high
e-flat. But my voice itself has matured and deepened as well. I
attribute that to several things: age, technique, babies. My voice
teacher has even talked about how, as she gets older, her rep has had to
change somewhat.

Personally, I'm much happier with my voice now. I think it sounds much
more "adult". And I'm willing to sacrifice some of those upper-most
notes if it means I sound great in the notes I DO sing well.

Maybe other people have different experiences. I'm interested in
hearing about them.
