Ditto. If you need to keep to a budget, put your money into a mic. I have a very small, stereo mic that I use with my Sony MZ-R700. It is a Sony ECM-717, and it was a little over $100. It definitely is good enough to make demo tape recordings with. It is also great to record orchestra rehearsals. TinaO
