Andrea, I would suggest you research this assumption carefully before making
such a brash judgement. There are those of us contributing to this list with
a very impressive roster of achievements, carrying on successful careers as
singers and performers in major venues through out the country. And, I agree
with you completely about Aretha, however, soul and opera are not even
remotely mutually exclusive.
