I KNOW!!! Isn't that ridiculous!!! Size ten is so NOT plus size.
Especially if you are a taller person, like me. I mean, when I'm at my ideal
weight I'm somewhere in between a size 8 and 10. This isn't because I'm plus
sized or anything, but because i'm 6 feet tall! So, how gross are all of
those models on the run way who are 6 feet tall and skimping around in a size
4??? NASTY.
I think that a certain amount of weight on a person makes them look better on
stage, anyway. A friend of mine who is an opera singer, in normal life is
probably considered a bit heavier than she should be... her goal is to lose
about 20-30 pounds, I'd guess. BUT, when I see her on stage, she is so
powerful and gorgeous! Whereas other girls who are skinny minnies are NOT
EVEN NOTICABLE on stage. They just disappear. They can't fill out their
costumes, and they look like Cindrella's mice (yeah, random description, but
I have an image in my head of a very skinny friend who wore a kercheif on her
head once for a costume, and totally looked like she should be carrying
around buttons and thread for Cinderelli...)..
