A friend of mine just found a review of herself online where they referred to
her as "a large woman with a creamy soprano." She forwarded it to her
friends with a note that said, "My G*d, I was 40 pounds thinner then! What
would I be considered now? Enormous?" (She's not enormous, but she's not
pursuing a solo career these days, either.) The other day I saw an ad on
local TV for a modeling agency looking for plus-size models that ended with
the line, "So if you're SIZE TEN or larger, call...." Size TEN? Size TEN is
plus-size???? AAGGGH
