I had a singing teacher whose voice would be heard meters away behind a thick wall even when singing Deep Purple but was "plain" on a CD. All those rich overtones meant nothing on the CD. Also, how can you say for sure that her timbre is due to sound-engineering until you listen to her live supposing you haven't )?

On the contrary, it's easy to tell from a recording that her voice (in its present condition, at least!) would not be heard above an orchestra. If she received proper training, she might have potential. But that's a VERY big if. And it's a shame because she is a cute kid.
