Gee.....I felt terribly that George Harrison met such a ghastly early
end to his life. I always loved the Beetles music making. Even today when I
put on a disc of theirs I get a wonderful feeling of joy. Joy in music
making is such a contagious thing....They didn't have their great success
based on nothing...There is always something wonderful to be learned from the
performers who capture the publics love and admiration.....It is a good
project to try and analyse what it is...The performer today selling all the
records is Bocelli....It is so easy to critisize the faults of
performers....so difficult to emulate their good points...The public is not
stupid....Another singer who comes under criticism from "professional student
singers" is Bartoli......I don't hear anyone who can compare with her
assets....Do you ?....It is good to remember that faults are easily
copied....Many singers have tried to be Maria Callas....all they were able to
do was copy were her faults.
