Now, I know that the Vocalist is not a discussion
point for likes and dislikes re. singers, but I have
to say Miss Karneus is one singer who must have done
something good for someone as I don't understand all
the fuss at all!! Very ordinary singing, and, not very
good to my poor ears!!

She was at college with my niece in London, and I
remember thinking she had great potential as she was
singing as a sort of mezzo-contralto and the voice was
luscious, rich and quite hefty with great ease. The
next time I heard her, she'd won the Cardiff Singer of
the World Contest (how?) and sounded like the wail of
the banshee!! Whoever has gotten hold of her has done
the usual thing it seems to me, of saying, "Well yes,
you've a beautiful rich voice, but it's high notes we
want, so let's bump you up a bit!" A great
disappointment!!

Just a thought or twelve!

Ian Voice wrecker to the stars!!!
