oh yeah, i just remembered, a friend of mine got into a master's program
in voice with a bachelor's degree in english.
at boston university, there was a remedial music theory class for
graduate students that was usually stocked with singers (i wonder why...).
the financial aid, at that time, seemed to be distributed according to whom
one studied with rather than any other criteria.
