Jennifer,

I like to do the Duke and Copland setting of Heart, we will forget him, back
to back, because they are SO different. You need a good pianist for the
Duke though - it's HARD.

John Duke also has a song called "I can't be talkin' of love" - it's fast,
it's funny, and audiences love it - when I saw it done, the singer sat on
her pianists' lap (the singer was femalel, with a male pianist). I have the
music, in two different keys.

A very sad song - it's called Since you went away (I can't recall who wrote
it... but I have the music for it), in a kind of black american style. I
remember crying when hearing this - it is very simple.

Also - I saw a song called When Our love is new - I think it's by Maury
Yeston. It's in a very musical theatre style.

How's the pianist search coming?

Fiona
