I love this trio, too. In my opinion, it should be performed only when all three singers have good enough vocal technique to make every note sound beautiful. This is not always the case with undergraduate singers, or even some professional singers I've heard in the opera house. So if the singers you're thinking of can really sing this music, and you should be realistic in this assessment, I think it would be a terrific piece to include in your recital.
