I think the perfect thing is the Watch Duet from Die Fledermaus. Do it in English. And have fun with it.
Some others to check out are Magic Flute (can't find my score, but I know there's a Tamino/Pamina duet in there), Andrea Chenier (the last act - very romantic), the Micaela/Don Jose duet from Carmen (gorgeous), the Tosca/Cavaradossi scene from Tosca first act.
