I would IMMEDIATLEY stop singing and mark all your staging rehearsals at this
point until you are well again. If your director understands the nature of
opera singing at all, he or she will understand that now is the time for you
to mark and heal so that they will have a Fiordiligi for the opening of the
performance. You must stand firm on this. It is your voice and your
reputation on the line when the show opens.
