Listers: (Slightly off) For a delightful, delightful video to rent after a gruelling week, check out "Ghengis Blues," which was nominated for an Oscar a few years ago in the Documentary category. It's the true story of a blind L.A. blues singer who teaches himself the technique of Tuvan throat singing via listening to short wave broadcast on Radio Moscow, makes a trip to Tuva (with a little help from his friends), enters and WINS a singing competition there and becomes a national cultural hero. Some fascinating music, a wonderful story, glorious scenery, and the fusion of blues and throat singing which he demonstrates will blow your mind. It's a wonderful surprize to include in your life.
