You *are* lucky. I've talked to far too many singers who've had to
deal with #2s. I've never had a problem with Type 1, because I
usually can't pass their audition (my voice isn't the right color for
them, and that's perfectly fine -- I'd prefer they NOT accept me,
rather than invite me into the group, and then insist that I "dye" my
voice a different color).
